Alicia's Engagement Ring
Central 1.5ct parti sapphire, pear cut olive/orange bicolour sapphire, cats eye chrysoberyl, brown diamond, black peacock pearl, green-peach colour change sapphire.
Our House
A carved house with a hinged door and hollow star cut outs, the house features the figures of a couple and their two cats to signify the milestone of moving in together.
Nic's Topaz Pendant
Nic came to us with an heirloom ring to remodel. We used the gold, topaz and four diamonds to create a medieval style pendant with the diamonds intricately set into the claws.
01 / Consultation
The idea
We start with a conversation about what you’d like to create. We’ll discuss your ideas, references, symbolism, materials, gemstones, budget and timeframe, and begin shaping the direction of the piece together.
02 / Design
Finding the form
From our initial conversation, we develop the design and source the materials needed to bring it to life. This might involve hand sketches, technical drawings, digital designs and sourcing the right gemstones.
03 / Modelling
Taking shape
Once the design is settled, we create a model of the piece. Depending on the design, this may be carved by hand in wax or developed digitally and produced using CAD, with models shared with you prior to casting.
04 / Making
Finishing your piece
The final piece comes together at the bench. Once the casting returns to the studio, it is hand-finished, with gemstones set plus any engraving or other final details added before it makes its way to you.

Once we've arranged a time, you will have a consultation booked with Megan either in our Sydney studio or over Zoom/video call. We are also happy to just speak over email if that suits you. We will discuss the specifics of your brief, get a fair idea of your brief and discuss options that suit your budget. It also helps us if you are able to provide reference images :) Our consultations are free of cost and take around 15 - 30 min. After that, we will put together a quote for you. If you are happy with the quote we will start the design process.
While we try our best to accomodate all budgets, our clients can expect to be quoted around $500 AUD minimum for a sterling silver piece and $1500 AUD minimum for a 9ct gold piece. Our custom process is very labour intensive and involves a lot of time and care. Our quotes are highly dependant on material costs, scale and complexity. We always strive to give fair and competitive quotes. Upon agreement of your quote, we invoice for a 25-30% deposit, with the balance due upon completion of your piece.
We offer remodelling and redesign of pre-owned jewellery/objects to create something customised with your sentimental materials. Depending on the design, we can re-use the metal provided, or trade it in and deduct the scrap value from the total of your custom quote.

It's helpful for us to know what type of jewellery you're after (ring, necklace, etc), the occasion (engagement, birthday etc), what metal/gemstones/materials you have in mind and a ballpark estimate of your budget. From there we will discuss everything else in our consultation :)
We are happy to have our bespoke clients be as involved or as hands-off as they wish. We are happy to work with extremely prescriptive briefs or take a lead on the design and provide ideas for you. We send plenty of updates throughout the design, modelling and finishing process and only proceed when we know you are happy with the work.
Depending on the complexity and scale of your piece, bespoke pieces can take anywhere from 3-10 weeks. On average, our bespoke turnaround is around 5 weeks. We are happy to accomodate a job with a tighter turnaround for a rush-fee.
